Did God create viruses and bacteria?

Okay, bacteria has a purpose and place in our bodies. However, why is it that people in the bible with obvious physical symptoms are referred to as possessed. Or they are treated like they were made sick because they were evil people? If God inspired the bible, wouldn't he have let the writers know the real origin of these diseases? Also, did God create viruses? What purpose would viruses would have served other than to hurt mankind and the animals? Why would God allow for his word to seem so superstitious and misinformed? Wouldn't he know that after humans learned more about science and the human body, intelligent people like me would question the credibility of the bible? How can I believe if there are so many flaws and cave-man like things in the bible without sacrificing my intelligence and putting blinders on?

Exactly! How could god let there be so many other options, including ones that seem a lot more logical, and then smite us because we just couldn't believe in a book that seem more mythological than factual?

Yes God created everything with a purpose and a perfect place. He created every atom to be exactally where it is suppose to be and someday soon he will call it all into order. Man has taken the atoms and build self distructive weapons out of them, he has taken atoms and made things that are not really needed. everything that has been created outside of the the original plan of God is not going to last through the recall process. Stand by and wait and you will see perfection like no scientist or intellectual will be able to rationalize away. If you look you can see the percision that is finer then any German or Swiss watch bussing all around you. It is called the material Universe. It is absolutly perfect, even to the point that all matter will eventually return to it's original form. And since God made all of the atoms He can speak to them and make them return instantly. If you as a human were to walk in the mind set that you were originally intended to have you would never experience sin sickness or death. It is outside of this mindset that things are in disorder, and therefore deadly. It is called the natural mind of man. Man was suppose to operate in the supernatural because it is ALL just a figment of the manufactures imagination. We preceive it all only from the collective point of view that we have learned to date. That doesn't mean there isn't a more perfect way that we have not learned yet. All anybody knows is what they have deduced from the knowledge they have processed.

Yours is definitely a multi-faceted question, but I'll start by answering the question in your title. Yes, God created viruses and bacteria. He created every living thing.

People in Biblical times were thought to be possessed, because they were not aware of pathogens at the time. What purpose does any form of life have, when you stop to think of it? Only God knows that purpose.

God doesn't allow or disallow anything. He gave man a free will. How man uses that will is the determining factor on whether or not he will go to heaven or hell.

God certainly knew that his Word would be questioned. It's the same now as it was then. The trouble with mankind is that they are very concrete oriented. In other words, they don't believe in the abstract. But just because they don't believe it, doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

You have a right to believe whatever you want. Or disbelieve. That doesn't alter your intelligence one iota. In fact, exploring facts is one of the signs of an intelligent person. What you're describing is a lack of faith. People who are followers of God do not wear blinders. They have faith and trust. Just because you can't see winter, for example, doesn't mean that it isn't there. You can see the evidence of winter, but you can't actually see the season itself. It's the same with God. You can't see him, and you can't hear him, but he's there. If it weren't for God, none of us would be here. And you, my friend, without your creator, would not be the intelligent person you consider yourself to be.

Let's start with this simple fact. The bible is a myth. Now by saying that, I'm not trying to incite a flame war. Instead, I would like people to get the underlying meaning of the myth and conduct their lives accordingly. In other words, myth was and is a means of attaining transcendence and discovering the mystery of your own life. Your own being. It is not meant to be taken literally. To do so is folly. So keep the book where it belongs. On the library shelf that reads, "Myth." Once you accept that, you can look at it and learn a great deal. Your intelligence will not be insulted. Its more complex than it was 2000 years ago. Don't worry God is always a step ahead of the unbelievers. That's why life is so complicated now because we work so hard to make it that way.
