i got a straightner put in my hair and know my hair keeps falling out really bad also i was using some shampoo and it may be the cause of it falling out. and on my scalp i can feel like new hairs i think it is.it feels it feels like i got my hair shaved on my scalp.

my question is.....
will a straightner make your hair fall out?
and what i feel on my scalp is that new hairs or where my hair has broke and fell off.

Strighteners can easily fry your hair even if you have never had problems with them. Was it chemical or a hot iron? Either way you need to just start moistureizing it and not touching it with any heat. I'm really picky about my shampoo and suave has this really great healing conditioner that is suave humectant (I'm pretty sure that's how it is spelled) You'll prolly notice changes right away... When styling I wouldn't use anything like hairspray or certain gels but some scrunching gels might be okay.... don't put your pony tails on too tight etc. you'll want to be really careful with your hair because it is extremely fragile right now. If you get nervous and don't have a lot of money you could always run to one of the local beauty colleges and let them look at it for you... Good Luck!!!

Yeah it can if your hair is in bad condition or gets over-processed.
Go back to the place where you got it done asap!!

This is what it means for your hair to "fall out" when something goes wrong.
It doesn't actually fall out from the roots but breaks off right at the top as you have described.

Stop using the shampoo that you think could be causing it or adding to the problems. Find a really mild or natural one. If that's not possible just at least switch shampoo or try not to use any until you can get to a hairdressers.

edit: well you still need to go to a hairdressers my dear!! Seriously, they will need to put some deep conditioners and stuff on it to try and save it. I know you get these things called neutralizers and stuff but i'm not sure what exactly can be done at this point but it can only get worse if you leave it so still go asap. Phone up first to tell them your problem and get an idea on a price.

I've never had my hair straighted, but I have had many perms. Basically same chemicals. Yes I did loose hair too, and I did have hair breakage at the scalp. Where it feels like it has been shaved.
My suggestions, wash your hair every other day. Washing daily and blow drying/curling or using a straightener is really hard on your hair.
Unless you get super greasy hair in one day, you'll be fine. You should also go to the beauty supply store and get a really good leave in hair conditioner.

Good Luck

Well it won't make your hair fall out but I think it makes your hair less healthy doesn't it?
