As a general rule Doctors usually avoid giving out a script over the phone or Internet.
But if your a long standing patient, and he/she knows your medical history really well, then it is possible.
But the doctor could be liable if they prescribe the wrong medication, and you either;
A) Get really ill, and collapse.
B) Or have a allergic reaction to the medication.
For safety sake I would go to the local Hospital, even if there is a lengthy weight in casualty.

I've had a doctor do that for me before but only because it was for something very obvious and minor (a bladder infection). I called and asked if he could prescribe some anti-biotics. He agreed but I had to hand in a urine sample when I went to collect the prescription so that he could make sure I had been given the correct anti-biotic. I don't think any ethical doctor would prescribe something over the telephone or internet, without knowing the patient or at least having a consultation with them.

As an established IN PERSON patient, yes, probably. If you are not their patient (ie online pharmacy), I do not believe it is legal for any doctor to prescribe without an examination.

They can if you are an established patient with them. If you call them after your initial visit and you need, say a medicine for migraines, they can call it in to your pharmacy. If you haven't seen that dr before, doubtful that they can call it in for you. If they are part of a group, then it applies that they can call it in.

Yes but they generally only do it if they know you really well. Not usually a good practice and most won't do that without seeing you.

They probably won't without some knowledge of you from a trusted source.
