I have a small statue and was wondering if there was an easier way of telling if it is copper or just tin?

color. Tin is dull silver and Copper is almost gold like color. Here what you do take a soup can which is made of tin and go to the bathroom a look behind a toilet or under sink and there should be a white or clear oval shape valve there attached to a 1/4 line Copper pipe, and compare it.

Copper will have a green cast to it while Tin does not... another good way to tell is to just bite it.... that's right put it in your mouth and bite down... then put a penny in your mouth so you can see the difference. Tin is a softer metal.
