Of course you can't go wrong with about any Honda, but Nissan's new Versa, built in their Sentra plant in Mexico with their well proven 1.8L engine and CVT transmission (Nissan is leading the field on CVTs) has received high reviews and tests are showing 30+ gas mileage. If the new transmission works out well I think they have a winner there at the price range. I would test drive both and see which one you feel suits you best.

i own a repair shop, and i think that the Toyota corolla is one of the best little cars on the road,i rate a car by how much i have to work on it so if i don't get one in for any major repairs i think its a good car,and all the corollas i have seen are lasting really good ,and not giving any major trouble at all, also when they do tear up there really cheap to repair,i have been doing this for a long time, and all the corollas on the road are still going good ,and some of them are really getting some mileage on them but there good cars, good luck i hope this help,s.,,PS i couldn't choose from the two you have up there,i really don't like either one of them.
