well, from my own experience, there are a couple of restaurants in liverpool that aren't doing too bad. (i.e. full ALL the time)
a really extreme example is Chiko's in London, and the waiting list i hear is months long...
every time i see it there's blaring music and it's packed full of people sitting and standing and having a good time.
i think it's safe to say that londonders love Mexican food.

The truth is British people love all kinds of food-including mexican. Because we are a multi-cultural society we like trying food from other countries. Top of the list is Indian and Chinese food.

I'm from NE, England and I'm not to keen on Mexican my self i love a big green salad but most of the people round here love not much more than gross fast food!

Hmmm not so sure. They don't have a very big Mexican population there and really not a lot of Mexican restaurants.
In fact my b/f (English) never even had a taco before he met me.
Guess its really just a personal thing as to if they like it and area as to if its available.
