If I asked you to pick ONE part of scripture that you feel the entire Bible could be found to rotate around what would that scripture be?
A scripture that all parts of the Bible could be seen as leading to it?
I know what scripture I would pick. I'll give everyone a few minutes then I'll add to my comments with my choice. If you pick my scripture or can convince me that you have a better one you get the ten points. Of course just because I think my scripture is best doesn't really mean it is, it just means that this scripture fits my view of God and His Word. I'm really looking forward to seeing what everyone's choices are!

OK here it is. Drum roll please.

Romans 8:1

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus"

Didn't see this one but probably John 3:16 is the closest

Uh-oh. Came back after an hour or so and say a posting on the Romans Road. Didn't pick my verse but she got all around it. So, I'm gonna have to think on this one. I'll decide tomorrow and give out the ten points. Thanks for ALL your responses. It was refreshing.

In His name and love. Goodnight.

After reading this question, John 3:16 immediately popped into my head. But then I decided to think a little more and see what other scripture I could find. Also, I think I may be taking some added license with this one, but you did say one part of scripture and I am staying within one book: definitely the Romans Road. I learned this in youth group a couple of years ago and have shared it with many of many of my Christian friends at college. I absolutely love the Roman's Road because it outlines the core ideas without seeming intimidating or daunting. It gives a message of hope and something to look forward to!

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Romans 6:23 "...The wages of sin is death, But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Romans 5:8, "God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!"

Romans 10:13 "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved!"

Romans 10:9,10 "...If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."

Thanks for this question! I found it very interesting to read everyone responses!

There's always the average Christian response: John 3:16. For this shows the whole testament of Jesus and the salvation people will receive if they believe in Him. Of course, everyone's interpretation of the Bible is different. :) I am curious to see what yours is.

If I'm not mistaken the verses " to love the Lord with all thy heart and strength, etc., and to love thy neigbour as thyself" is the central core of the bible according to scripture itself.

All the verses related to Christ's resurrection. Without the resurrection, there would be no Christianity. So Christmas is important, but Easter is more important.
