Why am I, a girl in the seventh grade, twelve years old, so concerned that everyone else seems to be "dating" others, when I'm just enjoying middle school with my friends and being myself?
Shouldn't that make me happy?

yes it should make you happy. now a days kids your age are acting a lot older than they use to. when i was twelve, i acted twelve...now kids your age act like they are 20....so yeah dont worry about dating guys. they are just immature jerks that will break your heart anyways. so enjoy your time with your friends while you can. i miss being little!! im 22 :)

middle school, doesn't get any better. i wouldn't say your obsessing. I'm in year 9, at and all girl school, and all we can talk about is guys! my sister is 12 and shes not so much into them, maybe your just being you and find it interesting to know about others dating life's. or your just blooming early and realise the vales that (some) guys have :) but just enjoy being 12, and guys will be there forever so Dont worry, your not missing out on anything if your not thinking about guys 24/7!

Hi B. nice question. Hope I can come up with something not too stupid. seventh grade was reallly cool for me. when you see others dating, it's normal to want to be like everyone else.
You don't want to stick out. but at the same time, we all stick out, at least in our minds. enjoy middle school. when dating comes, enjoy that too. be happy today, Oh, and it pretty normal to think about guys. they sometimes think about you too.
