I have searched and searched on the internet for a site where I can purchase an Iranian style chador, one of those big black "sheets" that many of the women wear in Iran, but I can't find one anywhere! I don't want one with sleeves, or that is closed in the front. Anyone know where I can find one???

I have never known anyone buying a ready-made chador...the fabric is bought and then it was made to measure for the individual, and there were always lots of people among family and friends who knew how to sew one. If you're really interested, you should contact a mosque frequented by Shias, and you're very likely to come across someone there who can make one for you.

According to my source, a chador is basically the same as an abaya or burka.
You can buy them at these and other websites; search under "Islamic clothing."

At the following site you can get free patterns for islamic clothing, including the chador:
Hope this helps.

nobody forces women to wear a hijab, it is their rigthful choice. It would really help you if you just asked questions relevant to the true Islam instead of making up questions which are filled withi nsults and ignorance. You havent given a way to contact u through your email , how bout u change ur profile and send me a msg so i can enlighten you about the true Islam? it'll save alot of trouble of having to go through your hate-filled questions.
