I'm 17
I guess I can be hard to get to know. My closest friends tell me that they wer'nt to sure what I was like because I'm quiet when I dont know someone. I mean I'll talk to them, and be friendly but I'm obviously not 100% outgoing.
I have been told I'm good looking by many people ( not trying to be conceited) And i still dont have a guy
A boyfriend never was that important to me, but I'm really starting to think one could be fun!
Sooooo....any tips, SERIOUS ones
-where to find one
-how to get one
-what am i doing wrong?!

im not looking for the guy im going to marry i know im young, i just want to meet a guy that i can hang out with/ he likes me i like him. someone i can feel secure with.

I do not think you are doing anything wrong. There are many places to meet guys. The bowling alley, church,
sport games like football, baseball, exercise gyms, school, work, etc. Get to know a guy before you go out with one. Date people who too like your interests, too.
Just walk up to someone you know who is nice, if interested introduce yourself.

Okay here's the deal a boyfriend isn't just something that's fun it's someone you plan on spending the rest of your life with and It takes some work now first of all I can help but i may take a while so e-mail me and i can get you a boyfriend you want to spend the rest of your life with well here's the real first thing It sounds like your a little closed up you need to try and open up try making a few new friends now I'm only 16 but I know a lot for my age so trust me I know what I'm saying. now try and find a boy in your school you find attractive and try and find out some things about him after that start with the friendly hello in the halls and gradually move up to some small talk then ask his friends if he likes any one if not try and ask him out and from what you say he'll like you and say, yes

Dont go looking for a guy at a bar... bad idea.
Believe it or not, there are guys who like shy quiet girls. :)
But... you said it... a BF was never important to you and guys can pick up on that. Body language and all.
Also... why do you want a BF now? Why not one year ago or two years ago. Why all of a sudden now? Guys pick up on that too.
Your in school for three years and now you want to start dating. Guys will ask whats up with that? So... be prepared to answer that question.
And.. if you answer it correctly, chances are you will have a BF.

Someday, there is going to be a certain guy out there and when you two meet up, you will know. Why do these young ones think they HAVE to have a boyfriend or girlfriend at a certain age? My daughter didn't start any really serious dating til she graduated from high school. One day; at a job, going to different places (NOT BARS); you WILL meet someone. You're young; be patient!

I always believe things happen when the should. Each time I am without a boyfriend and wondering what I should do to find one, I am so pleasantly surprised by how love finds you. So now I just live and realize love will find me and when it does, it will be better than the thing I could have sought out myself.

You are sending out some major "I need a boyfriend" vibes. Go do stuff. Get involved with som kind of social activities. That is how to meet new people. A boyfriend will come when you aren't looking for one.

A boyfriend can be fun.......however a lot of people don't really start that part of their life until they go away to college....so it'll happen for you.
Maybe right now you're more mature than the guys you hang around with.

Listen I suggest just be yourself. Take your time when it happens it happens. If you happen to be interested in a guy, just go up and ask him to a dance or movie. We do not live in stone age anymore female are playing the asking role now. Good luck.LL.
