You are either oversensitive about the smell of your hair, there is a chemical reaction with the shampoo or conditioner you are using (try another) or you have a scalp condition - possibly from too much washing, believe it or not!
A healthy scalp is one which is allowed to produce the oils necessary for glossy hair. If you are washing your hair every day, you are quite likely preventing your natural oils from smelling as they should. Your scalp is very likely making its own protest!

I have the solution. I used to have a bad smell on my head even though i washed my hair everyday. i finally found the solution and i want to share it. First of all, right after you shower, you HAVE TO BLOW DRY your hair. You must 100% dry your hair with the blow dryier right after your finished taking the shower and towel dry the hair. Cant wait 10 mins later, it must be right away and dont leave any spot slightly wet. Another thing, never but never go to sleep with your hair wet or humid. Obviously if u do what i told you before, that will never happen. Now, i didnt have dandruff but my head itched a lot..you can try Selsum MEDICATED and see what happens.. In my case, i tried this shampoo: HEAD and Shoulders CITRUS BREEZE, its hard to find but it is out there, or buy it online. For some reason it helps get rid of the smell more than any other shampoo or other Head and Shoulder shampoo. It smelles very good too. Do what i am telling you right now, and u will see the smell goes away, but once you stop drying your hair right after you finish showering, the smell will come back bc the problem is that Fungus live in wet or humid areas,, and are very resistant. If u keep ur blow drying ur hair 2 seconds after u shower.. u will see the smell desapear and u will be able to have a very good smell on your scalp and head. 100% guaranteed.

I think its because you wash you hair and scalp way to often wth normal shampoo. there are sooo many people that do it. for example, alot of ppl ahve danruff, so they wash their hair with something crap like headand shoulders EVERY single day, and yes for half the day the visable danruff is gone and they're ahppy, but their scalp suffers each time they wash their hair with that crap. Its ok to use head and shoulders, although it takes away the vissable stuff and doesnt do much to the actual problem which is the scalp. all these shampoos have an acidic part in them which is NOT good for the scalp to be drenched in every day. you need a mild shampoo with the rigth pH level, those shampoos you can use everyday and they are great for dry scalps, danruff oily scalps etc. cause you can use them every day and your hair gets so much better in around 1-2 weeks or usage. Goodluck!

Sounds like cradle cap Try gently rubbing some baby oil into her scalp and leave it for about half an hour then wash it out when you bath her, a couple of times doing that and it should sort it out. The cradle cap shampoos never worked on my babies but the baby oil did You could see the docter because it might not be cradle cap and could be something that needs treeting

Maybe you are just extra sensitive to your own smell. I get a little freaked out about my feet, but ordinarily I am the only one who can smell them. I ask if anyone can smell them and folks know that I want the truth and I usually get it, like it or not.

Have you had any kind of surgery lately? I would have to ask you a dozen questions to try and figure out why it smells. What kind of vitamins do you take? What kind of meds? Have you recently ha a baby? So many things can cause that. If you need to email me I am a hairdresser.

It's possible that you are drying out your scalp, and the smell is a side effect. How long have you been using this shampoo, and how long has your scalp had an odor?

maybe you should try blow drying your hair all the way until its dry..If you keep it wet or don't blow dry it all the way then maybe it is leaving a sour smell in your head..also the foods you eat can also have an effect on the way you smell. Especially the foods with lots of onions and garlic in them..

What are you eating, as this will affect the odor coming out of your pores, which are large on your scalp? Also, your hair will absorb odors from the air, so if you're around pollutants your hair will smell of them.
