You can't know for sure until they are big enough and you can start to feel them move around in her abdomen about a week or so before they're born.
A veterinarian call tell much sooner.....
I sure hope you decide to take her in, because if she IS pregnant, she needs prenatal care just like a woman. Cats have kittens all the time without any complications, but when complications DO occur (sometimes leading to an expensive C-section), they oftentimes could have been prevented by proper, basic prenatal care.
At the very least, she should have a fecal done and be dewormed (not with OTC dewormers, however)....to prevent worms from being passed through the placenta and the milk to the kittens. That's a common cause of weakened kittens and neonatal deaths. Your DVM also needs to discuss with you how to adjust her diet to help her handle the special nutritional demands of pregnancy without causing problems from excessive vitamins and minerals at the same time.
Good luck!
(If she's not pregnant, please consider having her spayed ASAP before she does become pregnant. There are many health advantages to her if you do so.)

Well, you wont really be able to tell for a few weeks.
Keep track of weather or not your cat goes into heat, if she doesn't then that could be a pretty good sign.
Another way to tell, though this wont be possable for about another month or so, is to feel her belly. If she is pregnant, it will feel hard, and it will also be alot larger than it normally is.
As the pregnancy goes on, and her belly gets bigger and harder, you will actually be able to feel the kittens inside of her.
