My ex-boyfriends b-day is coming up and since we are still friends I need help on ideas of what to get him. Everything I think of seems to girlfriend like. Any suggestions??

The easiest way to know what your ex would like for his birthday is to ask him.
Just say, "You're birthday's coming up. What would you like?"
The thing is that you two have gone from relationship to friendship so it wouldn't be odd to ask him what he'd like.
Guys won't admit it but they are just as picky as we are. So rather than take a guess as what he'd like just ask him. It's okay. He won't think anything of it. He'd appreciate it. Good Luck

lol - i can understand why you need ideas ! I've been in the same situation where you don't want to give them the wrong idea etc.
I just ended up getting my ex a new Billabong wallet which is quite girlfriendish and there was no problems with us (and we'd only just broken up) - because we had cleared that the relationship was OVER and we were happy to stay friends we were comfortable.
So if you too are comfortable with being friends with your ex just get what you feel you should get !

- nice shirts
- after shave

Give a gift certificate to your ex from a local mall- that way he can pick out what he wants from where he wants. If you were to go to the information desk at your local mall they should be able to get you certificate in the denomination you wish- it doesnt scream "girlfriend" but it does scream "i am thinking of you and glad you are happy on that special day!"

Get him a gift card from his favorite resturant or store like walmart, target, radio shack, or meijer.
If he is serious car guy, get him something for his car.
Get him a poster of his favorite band/singer.
A nice card with some money.
