Put a "No Solicitors Invited" sign on your door. That should cover them, as well.

But if you're asking "aren't there any laws that protect us from those maniacs" be careful what you wish for - they may start making laws to "protect us" from your beliefs next...

This is the country of free speech, still that doesn't mean that they should go around preaching, no other religion does that.
Yes I've had people come to my house and preach all that stuff.
They believe it is fine cause in the Bible says preach the word of god.
People just take it too far.

You have the right to not answer the door, or to tell them to go away and not come back....
You have the right to put up a sign clearly stating that you do not welcome any solicitors on your property...you may even state on your sign that you do not wish to be bothered by anyone peddling any religion....
Unfortunately, you do not have the right to tell Christians, or anyone else, for that matter, what they may or may not believe, or whether or not they may share their beliefs with others...including going door to door to spread their "nonsense", if they so desire.
Such is the price of freedom, my dear.
I got woke up, as well, by the way, by a J.W. who wanted me to have a tract about the end of False Religion....they are handing them out all over the country from what I understand. Come to think of it, I was also enjoying a morning of sleeping in, and it did annoy me...however, I simply took the tract, shut the door, and went back to bed. I assume he went on his merry way, handing out tracts to everyone in the neighborhood......

I think you have some serious issues yourself.
What do you do if a salesman comes to your door? Say I'm not interested, do not come here again. Simple.
Besides, the only people who I have ever had come to my door were Jehovah Witnesses. I, nor any of my friends go to people's homes.
When they come to my door, as annoying as it may be, I simply peek out the window, then roll over and go BACK to sleep.
Why all the whining?

You do have a choice not to answer the door. Put up a sign stating you don't want them soliciting. It is better to be a moron than a fool.

I grew up as a Jehovah's Witness. I believe you are talking about one of them. Anyway, if you want to keep them away from your house, either tell them you are possessed by the devil and make sure you tell them you have a oujiu board, or have a huge rockweiler or dover man pincher outside in your yard waiting for them.

For the same reason atheists persist in their nonsense!

That's something Theist AND Atheists have in common!

They like the sound of their own voices!

Its an invasion of privacy if they are coming knocking on your door with their preaching, and trespassing. Should be laws against it. Damn nuisances.

I apologize for disruption to your sleep! God is seeking you and after you turn Him away enough He will let you suffer in your sin.
Consider actually seeking God. I guess we bother you so much out of love, and wanting you to go to heaven.
