i dont know what this means and its really confusing! i ask him and he said that he dosnt do that, "ya right!" what does this mean?

It means he is a real jurk (Usually spelled jerk) when around other people.
Sounds like you need to start looking for a person who is not a jerk anytime. Part time nice guys are part time jerks.
You deserve better than that, I'm sure.

It means he is a typical young male idiot. Guys do this A LOT when they're young. They are too cool to be seen being nice to a girl so they act like idiots when their buddies are around. Get them alone and you have never seen a nicer, sweeter guy. Beware of going for this type of guy hon. Take it from someone who's had experience dating the "bad boy". THEY SUCK. Find someone who treats you well. There are good guys out there. Don't settle for someone who treats you badly. Give this guy one chance to do the right thing. Tell him in private that you don't appreciate being treated like s hit around his friends and that if he wants to remain on speaking terms with you then he's better treat you well ALL OF THE TIME. Him saying "yeah, right" tells me that he knows he's being a jackass but he DOES care about your feelings enough to make it seem like he has no idea that he treats you differently around people. Tell him you really like him but that you won't put up with being treated like crap. If he continues to treat you badly..tell him to hit the road!

he has to be cool around his buds.he is really a sensitive guy that's sweet,but if he acted this way around everybody,he'd be labled as a geek.if he's popular,then he may feel the need to be a hot-shot when he's around other people.think of it like the movie Grease.danny's such a sweetie when it's just him and sandy,but when she saw him with his friends,she saw him as a whole different person-a macho person that's popular with the guys.i'd be flattered though if i were you.he acts like his real self around you,cause -apparently- you let him know that he can be himself,and you'll accept him.he may be feeling pressure as to act different around other people.sorry to use another example from Grease,but remember how danny was being all sweet to sandy then his friends kinda shoved him,and he changed his whole attitude? this guy may feel that way,too.he may feel as if he needs to switch to someone else when his buds are around or when it comes time for people to be around.just let him know that you're here for him,and don't let him treat you like danny...LOL.

The last thing he wants is for his friends to find out he's nice and sweet. He's doing that to make others know he wears the pants in the relationship.

He has a macho-ego complex. Until he is ready to quit the crap, move on. He feels the need to prove his masculinity in front of his friends. That usually means that they are incredibly insecure.
