My daughter sleeps between 9 and 10 hours a night with a 2 hour nap during the day. I'm not sure what she "should" be getting, but she seems well rested. Hope it helps!

Every kid is different just like every mom is different. My children sleep from 8pm-9am and then take a 2-2 1/2 hour nap. If they don't get this same amount of sleep they are some kind of difficult. Your baby will tell you when she's tired. Look for signs like rubbing her eyes, crying for no reason, irritability not caused by sickness, or extreme sudden hyperactivity for no reason. These are signs that your child is not getting enough sleep or needs a nap. My son didn't start napping until 11 months old and now he goes to bed at 1 and gets up at 3 for nap.

My doctor told us that most toddlers need between 8-12 hours of regular sleep, and a 2-3 hour nap given the activity level of the child. My wild child started sleeping 10-12 hours at night and taking at least a 4 hour nap when she was 2. Now she sleeps about 9 hours a night and takes a 3 hour nap. It's all "guidelines and guestimations."

it all depends on the child. My children were both different, one needed about 15-16 a day while my other one needed 12-13 a day. You will be able to tell if they're getting enough sleep by the way they are when they wake up in the morning or if they go to sleep easily or not. When kids are overtired they may get more hyper and tend not to listen, but that can also be because they are 2. Good Luck!

My 19 mo old nephew naps 1 to 1.5 hrs in the afternoon and sleeps about 11 hrs at night. That seems pretty standard.

My daughter stopped taking naps at a year old. She would sleep at night from about 7:30pm until about 6:00am. That worked for her. Since all children are different all of them require sleep at different times and in differening perionds of time.
