When you spend too much time with your boyfriend, you risk making other people feel left out or alienating yourself. Of course you want to spend every waking minute together, that's completely normal. But as your relationship grows, you will start to realize that you don't always need to. My guess is that your parents don't like seeing their daughter spending time that is usually spent with family now with your bf. They could also be concerned that you'll lose other friends or that you might be having sex ... and you're going to have to be prepared that they might not like that. If you ask me, spend a little less time together, it may be hard, but you'll end up wanting each other more. And if you absolutely must talk to this person all the time, talk on the phone or go out of the house (go bug his parents!!).

I agree with you on spending a lot of time with your bf cuz distance doesnt usually make the heart grow fonder it just hurts more, but at the same time if u are choosing to spend time with your bf over your family on a regular basis then it might be wise to incorporate him into things you and your family are doing. So taht your family still gets to bond with you and make memories, but at the same time u and ur family can get to know your bf better. Hope this helps. Good Luck!!!

Here is the thing, if you trust your family and are close to them and they are close to you, they are probably right. Spending time in a relationship is important but don't leave your family behind. If they are just doing it to be crapheads, then you have every right to say, look this is someone I care about and I am going to spend my time with, They may feel that he is mooching so watch that he doesn't always eat your food and hang out meaninglessly

Ever hear the saying too much of anything is bad??

Obviously your family is concerned about something. Spending too much time with your boyfriend and not doing much of anything else is bad, especially if you're young. Try to see it from their perspective and try to understand where they are coming from. If you have a good relationship with your parents, ask them why they feel this way.

It's okay to spend tiime with you bf, but you have to remember it's sometimes not healthy to spend so much time together, maybe your family sees this as a problem

everybody spends time with their bf/gfs. I do. tell them to get over it nicely and be like you know what I like this guy and I don't care if you don't like him. It's normal to spend time with him. always remember that. it's better to spend a lot of time with him then no time at all.

they think that you are having sexual relations
or that if you spend to much time together that it will happen or maybe they think that you will focus to much time on him and not enough time on you and your future. even if you do end up with him you never know what could happen in the relationship down the road. it sounds like your parents are trying to do whats best for you in the future.

Yeah! Your parents just see you as spending to much time with this guy. If it was a girl they probabley would push you out the house. Just really make your parents aware that your both just friends and that's all!!!!

People who are dating do spend time together... however, they do not spend time with each other and completely exclude everyone that was in their lives before they started dating.
Spend time with your family without him; spend time with your friends without him; spend time alone without him. If he has a hassle with it, then spend ALL of your time without him.

Depends on your age. If you're a teenager, don't spend so much time with guys.
