or he takes them about thirty minutes to an hour apart from each other. I'm talking about atleast 8 and then 8 more ...and it causes profuse sweating...i can feel how high his temp is jsut standing next to him. I mean he feels like he's boiling. He's had small seizures, near heartattacks, and complains ofstomach and head pains. IT's clear to me that such high amounts of any drugs..especially a cough suppressant could have devistating effects to the heart and liver. I'm so scared, but he wont stop. Does anyone know where he could get treatment for this. Does anyone share a similar story? Any suggestions. Hes not a bad person..but this drug makes him lazy and forgetful. It's breaking my heart. Please help.

We've talked it over a thousand times. It's always the same thing. I'm going to try and then if I'm lucky it's two days and then one little thing makes him mad...it could be a peice of trash laying on the floor of the room he never cleans..and that's his reasoning.

Suggestions? Dump him. You are already getting a taste of what he is like before marriage. What's he going to be like when you are married and have a family?

Well you need to make a choice. If he loves you and wants to be with you all the time, which is why you are engaged correct? Then he needs to stop what he is doing, otherwise he will most likely drop dead from OTC drug abuse. You need to call your local poision control and see if they can offer a suggestion. If you fiance is sick he needs to go the hospital or see a Dr. Is he purposely trying to kill himself? See this isn't going to get better its going to get worse and right now it looks as though he prefers the effects of the drug over you. (no offense) The choice is fiance stops the OTC drug abuse or you leave. Its a really hard one, but who is getting the short end of the stick here? Its not the drug for sure. If you do get married down the road there will most likely not be any hope for children, as your fiance is killing the chance for proper sperm production. If you did get pg from him there could be something terribly wrong with the embryo from so much drug in his system. So.. it really comes down to flushing the coricedin or monitoring how many he takes in a day. Normal people follow the instructions 1 to 2 not to exceed 4 in 24 hours.
Good Luck.

YOUR BOYFRIEND IS ADDICTED TO THE MEDICINE HE'S TAKING. AS MUCH AS HE TAKES I'M REALLY SHOCKED HE'S STILL ALIVE. HE IS GOING TO HAVE TO GO TO A REHAB TO GET CLEAN. BUT, HE HAS TO REALIZE HE HAS A PROBLEM OR HE WON'T GO. SIT DOWN WITH HIM AND SEE IF HE THINKS HE HAS A PROBLEM. WORK ON IT FROM THERE. HE HAS TO STOP OR HE WILL HAVE MAJOR AFFECTS FROM IT. ALL MAJOR ORGANS ARE IN TROUBLE!!! GOOD LUCK AND MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU!!
