Muslims please, a sincere question?

I have now read several things I understand to be racial slurs about Mohamed. I read about sex with a six year old, and many war like behaviors I assume were to releave oppression. One I understand might be true and that is that if a Muslim converts to Christianity in Afganistan or Pakistan, then that person may be murdered by their own family (a missionary told me the last one).

Please tell me if these are out of context,, in error,, or what reasoning justifys these if they are true.

No Muhammad didn't have sex with a six year old girl. She was in her late teens and early twenties. She was turned down by a perspective before her and Muhammad married. In Islam the only way you can fight is in self defense. And As always, since Muhammad was a prophet of God, the pagans were trying to kill him.
2:177] Righteousness is not turning your faces towards the east or the west. [4:90] Exempted are those who join people with whom you have signed a peace treaty, and those who come to you wishing not to fight you, nor fight their relatives. Had GOD willed, He could have permitted them to fight against you. Therefore, if they leave you alone, refrain from fighting you, and offer you peace, then GOD gives you no excuse to fight them.

[4:91] You will find others who wish to make peace with you, and also with their people. However, as soon as war erupts, they fight against you. Unless these people leave you alone, offer you peace, and stop fighting you, you may fight them when you encounter them. Against these, we give you a clear authorization.

I know this is a long answer but it will help you understand alot about the topic.

I will answer your question on the muslim who converts to christianity in afghanistan or pakistan. During the time when there was a muslim empire, the rule that a convert is killed is there because Islam cares about society as a whole. Meaning that he's not allowed to convert from islam because of the effects that he is going to have on other muslims in society. This DOES NOT hold though nowadays, because there is no muslim empire and bad things are seen throughout the world. Another example i could give to make it more clear is about having sex. Married people who cheat on their wives are supposed to be stoned till death. This is true ONLY IF at least 4 people saw them CLEARLY, meaning not just heard them. If 4 people or more don't see them having sex, then they cannot be stoned to death. Think about it. There is NO WAY 4 people are going to see two people having sex except if the people are having it on the street or in a public place. remember what i said about how islam cares about society as a whole. if people are having sex in public, it's going to effect many people and create chaos in society. Hi, I am going to try to answer your question, it may not be perfect, but I will give it a go. I am an American Muslim Revert.

It is true that in certain cultures that if a person tries to leave Islam, they can be killed, likewise in some cultures with Christians, such as in Egypt. This is usually done more culturally than religiously.

As for the propaganda about Mohamed PBUH marrying a 6 year old, my understanding is that at the time years were measured differently, and brides were taken much younger then what modern civilization does.

First you must know that Islam is a community-based religion. All that serves the welfare of the nation is deemed Halal and all that undermines the welfare of the nation is deemed Haram. In times of armed conflicts, conversion to another faith could be construed as an act of high treason if the person concerned is proven to have the intention to defect to the other camp. In such context, the conversion may be punishable by death as is in the case in most communities.

this 9 year old girl is the first scholar woman in islam. after Muhammad death she recorded almost 25% of his teaching and words. she carried his message to the next generation. Muhammad was a shy man, he couldn't answer all the questions regarding women, so he used to give them to Ayisha. and Not everything is about SEX.!

Muhammad was a warrior against the Arab pagans who were killing or torturing anyone conver to Islam. anyone convert to islam he go thru hell by the Arab pagans.

first let me correct you it's said that the Prophet married Aisha when she was between the age of 9-12, scholars are divided on this as the sources are unclear.

and that was a normal age for girls to get married as soon as they reach the age of puberty.

and just like some Muslims kill their family member if he/she converts to another religion, some Christians in Egypt feed their family member to the LIONS LITERALLY if he/she converts to another religion, i'm not even joking i know this first hand. same goes with some Hindus they too kill their family member if he/she converts or even get married to especially a Muslim person.

Yes, if a Muslim denies Allah he can be killed by other Muslims. There is little tolerance in Afghanistan and Pakistan for this kind of "Islamic Blasphemy." Of course, it seems to go against the grain of what is good with most religions.

first of all person changing religion from christanity, or judasim, to islam is not convert is REVERT as rightly said by a lady earlier.
as islam is the conclusion of all these religions.
Abraham(pbuh) started ,with showing the presence of God
Moses(pbuh) continued showing power of God.
Jesus(pnuh) continued showing love of God
n Muhammad(pbuh) ended,telling rules n principles of God.
that's my point about my religion which i always try to explain,which other religion accpet all old religions,in there original forms,n all past divine books in their original forms too.

well! about killing who changes his religion......as far as i studied my religion,it's not mentioned anywhere.islam teaches tolerance.if they kill ,it culturally done.

to justify my point:there was a lady named hazrat sumaiya(Allah be pleased with her),i am not sure of her name,but i am, sure of this incident.
well she n her husband accpeted islam,then they migrated to Habsha,1st migration done by muslims.here her husband,lost the path,n turned to christanity,she got divorce from him,n lived alone in that country,managing barely,when finally prophet(pbuh) after few years sent her proposal of marirage.but incident of her husband marriage went really famous,but neither prophet nor any other muslim took action against him.so in refrence of this,i don't think islam support tihs aspect,b\c the way she suffered poverty,n helplessness after her divorce.they could have taken action.

On the chance that you may just be looking to convert, you aren't going to get the truth from any muslim. However, I know q woman who married a christian, and now has a death threat on her head by her own family. She and her husband had to move to another country to escape them. So, I'd say the violence is true.
