IF you have wrapped it properly, and IF you have put it in the coldest part of your fridge, I'm gonna say two days before it starts getting funky. If it's hamburger meat, you can scrape off the browned part, and if the pink meat underneath still smells fresh, go ahead and cook it up. After two days or so, though, I think it would be smarter, and safer, to chalk it up as a loss and chuck it out. HINT: DO NOT put this meat in your indoor garbage pail - wrap it up in a plastic grocery sack and bring it to your outside garbage can, otherwise it will stink up your house very quickly. If your garbage pick-up day is several days away, just put the spoiled meat in your freezer until pick-up day. Write yourself a note to remind you to put it in the trash the night before. Trust me - the smell of bad meat will NOT go away easily and can quickly attract all sorts of unpleasant visitors, as well. I had to throw out a perfectly good garbage can once because I made the mistake of putting some spoiled meat in it two days before pick-up. YUCK.

Rule of thumb? When it doubt - throw it out!

Depends on the operating temp of the fridge, but when in doubt, the nose 'knows', kind of like with milk.
In a low temp fridge, about 1-2 days.
