Theres this girl i like that goes to my school, ive known her since the beginning of last year and I asked her to Homecoming a couple of weeks ago and she said she was goin with a group of girls already. I was goin to ask her out right after homecoming, but i dont know if i should still ask her out after it or not, and people have told me she is shy but i dont know what she would have said if she wasn't goin with that group of girls. So should i ask her out first or ask her to the movies or somethin and see how that goes?

Try something casual first--don't ask her to dinner right off the bat, but maybe ask her to the movies or just try to talk to her more to see if you can pick up some vibes as to whether or not she digs you. If she isn't trying to make it obvious that she's not into you, then try asking her out to the movies or to lunch on a weekend or something.

You should take a chance. Ask her out after homecoming. Even if she is shy. She's probably that way because nobody has ever shown her affection. If you show her you really like her, it might change the way she acts. Ask her to the movies, take her for a walk in the park. Sweet talk her, you know all of that stuff girls like. REMEMBER...girls don't really like being called hot or sexy etc. etc. They prefer beautiful. Tell her she looks nice in that [dress] or that you like her hair that way. girls like to talk. That's one thing that we're really good at. ask her about simple things. Her favorite color, movie, book. See how it goes. if she starts to open up or budge, take her out again sometime. GOOD LUCK =]

Why don't you try being with her at the dance first? See if she will dance with you and everything before you put yourself out there.
