Well my dad is a preacher and I had a strange dream one night that really freaked me out. It was about me and my family being in a tornado and there was only one shelter in the whole city. Me and my family were separated and we met at the shelter and I was the first one to open the door to the shelter. When I opened the door I saw the weather behind me settle down and the sun popped out from the clouds. When the weather calmed it is supposed to be like the story in the Bible where Jesus calmed the storm and walked on water. Then through the door I saw a really bright light and I saw a lion. I think the lion is supposed to represent the Holy Trintity (the Father, the Son & the Holy Ghost). Then the lion talked to me and told me that I needed to be a Christian, the next day I got up and told my dad about the dream I had and he said, "You know what this means don't you?" I said yes. So then ever since, I have been a Christian. I got baptized and I think that dream was truly awesome and so is the experience of being a Christian. May God bless you!!!

This may sound odd, but I'd have to say Prince. Prince over the past 24 years has offered me an excellent spiritual journey. Quite uplifting for those who know how to filter. All Christians should know how to do that.
Prince's penchant for preaching to his audience rarely makes media headlines. However, the silly stuff always does. As far back as 1982 he opened his "Controversy" tour with:
"It won't b long b4 the 2nd coming and all of God's children must learn how 2 love."
Maybe some people weren’t paying attention to that part. Over the last two decades his audience of tight knit listeners were exposed to several spiritually motivational speeches--including the following:
"20 churches in a 1 mile radius. Everybody's at different churches worshiping different ways. 'Oh we should champion our diversity' No!... We should champion our similarities, not our differences. We should meet on a higher level. Instead of looking at white, black, rich and poor, young, old... let's meet somewhere higher. Love is God; God is love. Rise up!
All manmade creations originate from one of 2 sources: The tree of knowledge or the tree of Life. One of these trees contained deadly fruit, the other - Fruit of Everlasting Life. The one who disregards this fact recreates himself and his kind in2 extinction.
A future re-created, 2 b ruled by man, is one of isolation and despair. Returning the leadership back in2 God will allow mankind 2 achieve its original collective goal which is union with God. Ideas contrary 2 this goal should not b blamed or persecuted - just simply ignored. They originated when man first chose 2 ignore God's rule. Simply put - in the beginning, the Human was made perfect in God's image. They had no need 4 knowledge. They were also given freedom of choice. The Tree of Knowledge and the Tree of Life r reflections of this freedom. The human is now a reflection of their choice. They could have simply chose not 2 choose.
God being centrifugal in nature, freedom was the CAUSE and choice was the EFFECT. In knowing their perfection made in God's image, there was no need 2 choose. In fact, there were no needs. There was only love in an all-knowing state b4 the fall. The worst thing u can do is give up ur God-given right 2 choose. 4 in it - u can choose not 2 choose.
With an all-knowing mind made in God's image U can create as ur creator, God intended. With love, honor and respect 4 every living thing in the universe." - Prince
Great mentoring. I’m lifted

It was a preacher named Larry Stockstill from Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. And the person who has helped me continue in my walk to follow the Lord is my husband, he is an awesome man!

My Spiritual mother waited patiently for many years, gently and consistantly inviting me to church.
Her name is Pauline Theil, and she truely is a quiet, firm warrier for God.
Once into a church and ready to learn how to walk the walk, it would be two special men of God.
Pastor Church for never telling me I was wrong, but letting me find out for myself through later lessons and more knowledge and A very special retired Pastor Cliff Lonus who can read aramaic and is still a sourse of knowledge that I can tap into for the hardest questions, and he is one of very few who will admit that he still does not know or understand some of the harder stuff.
These people are not perfect and I do not want to make it seem that they are, but they do have a heart for God and all are more than willing to share it in their own God led ways.

Apart from Christ Himself, I don't think there was one primary person.
My husband certainly impressed me, he was just a friend of mine when I became a Christian.
Probably a human who greatly influenced the way I live out my faith would be the theologian Francis Schaeffer. He challenged me to be in the world, though not of it in a very practical way.
I certainly used his ideas when teaching my own children.

No one comes to God except the Holy Spirit bringing him and then through Christ ,so I say God is the one who sought me and he used things in my life to bring me to a place where I seen how utterly ugly sin is my many sins had an impact on me where I thought about killing myself and then he put Barb in my life to be a witness to me and help me to start going to church to see that there IS true forgiveness..But I give all the Glory to God the Father The Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ...Barb was a vessel he used.

I had to privilege to live next-door to a preacher and his family. At first I stayed away from them, 'cause I thought they were the strangest "ducks" I ever saw...LOL, but over the course of several years I saw how truly genuine and kind they were. (Sometimes by spying on them from my kitchen window, 'cause I was kind of intrigued by them, without wanting to admit it), and I started asking them questions. Without my even understanding it at the time, the Lord was working in my heart, leading me to people who could share the truth with me, and when I heard it, He confirmed in my heart that it was real, and I haven't looked back since!
