Yes. I did it once. When my hair was like a foot long. They told me that it would make 2 wigs. For someone that needs them. So I have been trying to grow my hair back out so i can help more with people. Alot of people think that it isn't good to give your hair. But this how I put it would you donate your hair to one of your family members. That is how I put it when I had it done!!! I didn't want to do it but my mom said it was good to do this. So yes I would donate my hair if it went to a good cause.

I've done it before:) It's kind of a shock to lose so much hair but think of where your hair is going. Mostly the organization will use the hair to make wigs for kids with cancer. It's a great thing to do:) MY husband also cut his hair (14 inches) when he joined the AF and donated it.

Yes I would donate my hair to Locks of Love. My hair isn't long enough to donate just yet but I have been thinking about letting it get long to do this.

I had 12 inches cut off a few years ago and my hairdresser donated it to locks of love. Definately worth considering.

What a very cool way to help someone else out and yes, I would do it in a heartbeat if my hair was long enough. What's the purpose in worrying about your own vanity when someone who has lost their own vanity because of a valiant fight with illness could regain some self esteem.

my friends b-i-t-c-h at me all of the time, coz i have waaaay long hair, and i cut it off periodically. they complain and say that i should cut ten inches off all at once and donate it. but personally, i think thats creepy. dont get me wrong. i love the idea of OTHER people helping out people like cancer patients. but i think its really gross. if *I* were bald, i would wear a synthetic wig. i dont care if people know that im bald. id be proud to be fighting cancer. but id just do whatever i could to avoid other peoples' hair. so i wouldnt donate my own hair, if i wouldnt even WEAR other peoples' hair. does that make sense?

Deffinatly! Lock of love helps so many people who have gone through loosing what we take for granted. It isn't hurting you to cut off something you know you can grow back. Besides short hair is in and can be styled so cute!

Yes! Locks of Love is a great cause and will give you personal satisfaction to know you made a sick childs world a little brighter! It grows back quick, so if your considering it, it would be a noble thing to do!
