I will be fixing T'giving dinner for my son early this year (he has cancer and we want to have a family gathering). We are traveling to his home in our RV, so don't have lots of room. Don't want to mess up his house too much, so thought I'd cook it before we arrive. I have never fixed dressing in a crock pot - any tips? I use the Pepperidge Farm mix (not cornbread) with broth, etc. My own additions. How long should I cook it? High or low? Thanks.

I would cook on low, use no meats in it for safety, pre-cook or saute the veggies in it to soften, and add slightly less liquid as the liquid does not evaporate. Spray the innner crock with PAM, mix up then put in crock. Start of high about first half hour then turn down to low. Stir about every hour and cook for about 3-4 hrs (depends on how hot your cooker gets though). I like to add tiny diced up apple without the skin. It helps keep it moist and it will not be runny like if you add to many liquids. Id say reduce liquid by 1/3. Good Eattin.
