You have beliefs based upon many different things, but if what you believed were actually wrong, would you want to know it?

I actually did change my mind on what I used to believe and what I now know...I used to believe that "good people" went to heaven and "bad people" went to hell and a person could actually "pay there way into heaven by being good"..now I know the truth because all of my Sins caught up to me to the point of feeling condemned..I actually believed that God could NEVER forgive me for the things I had done..abortion being the main thing...but now I KNOW that God forgives me and loves me. He is truly amazing! I shall praise him forever.

I like your question because it doesn't implicate any one group. From this I can only guess as to whether you are a creationist or evolutionist.

As for me, well, I'm agnostic more than anything (though leaning towards atheism), but I'm still at the point where I don't truly believe anything, other than the fact that I won't ever know if there's a god. But if something could be proven to be (or even if it was a belief not about religion), yes, I would want to know. Note the use of the word proof there. Evidence. You get it.

The determination of what is wrong or right depends on your own preception. You could never be able to make out whether a particular act done or word uttered is wrong until and unless you have indulge yourself in it. Once you have acted upon and eventually you realise that it was wrong, I am sure that you do not wish to do same again. Why? Because what you have done and acted upon has caused some form of damage to yourself or to others and it hurts and I am sure that will not indulge in those act or utter those words again. That's the Truth! The Truth can only become prevalent when you have the ability to distinguish the false.

I was wrong for a great many years and still would be if some caring people didn't tell me and allow me to make the change. I acted as though there was no God for many years until I was in a coma for a while. Just before I was in the coma, I was saved by the grace of God and with the help of a very close friend. I know for a fact that God is real now. Being in the coma showed me a great many things and took my level of consciences to places I never knew existed.

If I believed something and did not know that it was not the truth, it would be my truth, because I would not know any other truth. For many not to know is their salvation, as they could not handle the truth. But to me, truth is a form of liberation. To know the truth, would free me of all doubts, but it will also free you of all hopes, and hope is what constitutes a big part of humanity. Perhaps, to know the truth would defeat our purpose. But, who knows if we truly do have a purpose.....we are all on the same level. Nothing more than finite minds and it is up to us if we want to open these minds as much as we can, or if we choose to close our eyes.

some times you just got to let things go,forget about it,By trying to find out the truth sometimes can cause more wrongs than rights.
If you think its a 911 level then you report it to the propper authorities, then you'd be doing the right thing by reporting it,and you won't have guilty feelings by not doing anything. But be very careful you say the wrong thing then your Butts going to be in the sling?????

If Christians were to find out Islam was right, they would not want to know it, and vice versa. They will close their minds and kill each other first. Start in 600 A.D. and move forward to today, and you will see. Since there is no scientific evidence, there is no way to prove it wrong. Since there is no way to prove either one wrong, those who were born into the respective religions will be happy to kill each other. Not that this is stupid or anything.

As a Christian I would want to know. If GOD isn't right then I would seek the truth. Jesus is the truth, the way and the life

I did research, a lot of soul searching, asked a lot of questions to find the truth. I know for a fact that Jesus was indeed crucified and was ressurrected in three days. No one who was there denies this.

It was a bit scary at first but it was a relief to finally understand that the Judgmental God, Hell, Good people Bad people Paradigm was a lie.
