I have a bf that I have dating for about 3 months. On our first date, we went to church. He bought me flowers, and still does so regularly. He also likes to take me shopping, and buys my kids stuff. I feel realy uncomfortable though, because I am not a materialistic person. When we first started dating, I told him that I didn't want to have a sexual relationship w/ anyone until I was married. However, that only lasted till about a month into our relationship. Due to our busy schedule we don't see each other alot outside of work, and it seems like when do, we have sex. Since I have never before had a man who was thoughtful enough to do the things he does, it kind of makes me feel like I am letting him buy me off. I really do love him, because of his thoughtfulness. He says he loves me too. I tell him I need love, and not things, but he says he wants to spoil me because noone else has ever done it before, and that I deserve it.

Well, you've let him know it bothers you some & can understand that but maybe you should just let it go cause I can understand his side too. If you love someone & can't seem to express it in words you want to give them things constantly & try to keep showing it. He probably is just trying to do that. He's expressing his love for you. Try to enjoy it. I hope things work out!

Oh come on.....he likes sex, you like sex. The church and shopping and stuff thing is just an attempt to make you and his relationship feel like something different than all the other bs relationships, but it isn't.....and if he cut out all that stuff you'd realize it....but you know that and he knows that.....so you should at least get a few good items out of the deal....i'd go for a psp if I were you....or the new mustang if he's rich.

hay, if a man gives us attention we complain...if they don't give a damn we complain...no offense meant...
just go with the flow at least he knows that you're not a gold digger...just try to minimize his spendings on you on necessary things and not to expensive...he can read you so he knows that you're a different...he's right, you deserve it...just love him truly...
