Matthew 5:38 "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' 39 But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Jesus was saying that if someone personally insults you that you shouldn't react to it but should bear it patiently.

Luke 6:29-31
Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either. Give to everyone who asks of you, ans whoever takes away what is yours do not demand it back. Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.
