it's a compact flash one. when it's in my camera it works, and it used to work on my computer. but now when i put it in the little memory card slot thing, the computer doesn't do anything. i can even look in "my computer" and it's not there. heeeelp :(

That happened to me.

Just reinstall the software that came with it.

That should fix it.

Suggest you turn off the pc, unplug the usb cord for the card reader and then turn on the pc, install software and it should prompt you to connect the usb. Watch for intstructions that might pop up. Some want you to connect the hardware first some want the software first.

You may have bent the effing little pins inside your card reader slot so they don't make contact any more.

Take your card to a WalMart or someplace where you can just see if the card works in their machine. Maybe a friend has a card reader that you can try.

its not your memory card.. its the camera.. most probably the camer's software crashed (though many cameras now dont need a software).. see if your cam came with a software w/o which it doesnt work (how did u set the whole thing up in the 1st place?)

try using other usb ports.. reinstall the software/driver

Sounds like your memory card reader thingy is effing pooched.

I would try it in a different computer. If that computer sees it, I would begin troubleshooting my computer.
