Need to close all the factories down because most pollute. With the resulting unemployed, put them to work cleaning up litter, chemical spills, and garbage. Ban cars or vehicles that burn fossil fuels. Have people give up chasing money; therefore, no need to work at any jobs that cause pollution of any type. Now; people who don't have a job can't eat - they die off and there's no polluting from them. On a more serious note, you will never get all the contributing "polluting" nations to come to an agreement - if you do, how would you enforce it? In short, we have reached the point of no return because of our quest for materialism. Look at it this way. Global warming issue will make great fodder for politicians and "maybe if" thinkers. China will not go along, India won't, Mexico won't, Russia - I doubt it. Canada will, U.S. ( in the long haul) ... the rest ???? As global warming reduces weather ideal for sustaining crops etc., survival will be the rule. Wars will come as shortage occur. Greed - Greed - Greed ... from an age which is supposed to be the most educated and technically centered. - incongruous, isn't it???? Take rest in the fact, that if we all die from global warming, evolution will "kick in" and life will replenish or will it ????

It's a bit late in the game... sort of like people that "go" in the pool and no one will ever know... well one day the pool will finally begin turning yellow... then what do you do? That's about where we stand right now with the greenhouse situation... We really need something that consumes CO2 and SO2... on an individual basis that pretty much leaves us powerless other than consuming less energy overall... The planet forecast for the next hundred years don't look to good... We need healthy oceans, forests and tropical areas to maintain free oxygen levels... Those are areas we need to also focus on badly...

Address the three biggies that cause global warming. Transportation, heating and cooling of homes/ offices and industry.
Transportation: Redesign our cities for people to live closer to where they work and/or close to mass transit systems. Make living downtown much more attractive like it should be so millions wont even need cars, double the gas mileage requirenmnts of cars and trucks.
Heating and coling- Make attached housing multiplexes more common and attractive so to reduce wals exposed to the outside. More alternative heating methods like solar and wind. etc
Industry- tax credits for industies to reduce CO2 output. They can trade the credits with other companies if one company is doing well it can make more revenue this way by trading with a company that cant.

I personally think that factories that release chemicals do not just release EVERYTHING. They monitor it all, and because they are letting out such large amounts, it isn't that threatening to the atmosphere.
I think if North America wasn't so stinking lazy they should ride bikes to work or get some more exercise, like running to the coffee shop instead of driving everywhere.

Denny Cline, an inventor, created a new cheap way to turn water into a form of hydrogen fuel that burns clean, and is more powerful than fossil fuels. For more info see his web page at Hydrogen Technology Applications, Inc.. His fuel can be used for just about anything that uses gas of any kind.

I hate to admit it yet I really agree consisting of your grim evaluation of issues. at the same time as i think constructive in the concept of human-led to international warming, i don't sense remotely constructive in any of the proposed "suggestions" to the project. We, as a species, have boxed ourselves right into a nook by technique of vastly overpopulating the planet, gobbling up non-renewable elements, depleting sparkling water elements (it is probable the only greatest chance to the way ahead for civilization) and destroying habitat for organic world besides as agriculture. Efforts to recycle, use extra effective vehicles, use a lot less water when we bathe, they are all bandaids. some analyze advise that recycling is often extra unfavorable than effective to the ecosystem. using a lot less gas in holding with man or woman doesn't help at the same time as the arising international is using extra because the variety of drivers grows exponentially. The fuels we use are non-renewable and could ultimately run out. expenditures for very nearly each and every organic source will upward push dramatically at some unknown element in the destiny. So... my well-known view is that i might want to like a the front-row seat to exhibit screen issues crumple. If we received't end the destruction, we'd want to besides grab a bag of popcorn and a chilly beverage, positioned on our 3D glasses and income from the tutor, eh? Kinda like staring at the archives pictures of the south Asian tsunami --- it replaced into frightening yet human beings loved seeing the video pictures. Who doesn't song in for the highlights of a organic disaster or a conflict or a terrorist attack? Who wasn't in wonder and awe as they watched the WTC towers fall aside to the floor? If there is going to be an apocalypse then i opt to work out truly some high quality video pictures of it.

The usual things. Drive a fuel efficient car. Live close to work. Get energy efficient appliances, especially air conditioners, refrigerators and water heaters. Insulate your house well. Use compact fluorescent bulbs in place of incandescent bulbs. Recycle aluminum. Use alternative energy, bio fuel, solar panels, etc., when you can, to support the market for, and the research into, such things.

If your state has wind power that you can buy on your electric bill, then buy some! In the winter months and in the spring when it's windy, I have actually been paid since I invested in the new wind power plants being built in my state(Oklahoma).
Take all trash to recycling centers.
Plant as many trees as you can.
Write to your Congressmen and let them know your feelings when environmental bills are before them for voting.
Carpool whenever you can.
Insulate your house in both summer and winter and buy only Energy Star appliances.
Buy only pump spray products for use in the home.
