We have been dating for 5 days, and I know that isn't alot..but still I really do want him to hold my hand. What should I do? His friends say he probably wont, because that's just the way he is...but they also said he wouldn't say yes to going out with me, and he did. My friends say I should just hold his hand, because he's shy, but I don't know what to do.

I don't know, DaeLee, why don't you try the direct approach?

If it's a good time to hold his hand, and you feel he's withdrawing, look directly into his eyes, gently take his hand and tell him something like "It's OK, I don't bite. I just want to hold your hand-OK?" It's hard for a guy to say no to this, particularly if he likes you.

dont hold hands, just grab his arm while you are walking, if he tries to push you away hold tighter until he gives up. Now this may sound too barbaric but that will help with a few issues like being too formal with you, I believe it will help him relax. Also it will show him that you are comfortable with him being near you wich in turn will make him more comfortable with you. And so on... also don't be afraid to hold him cause I don't think any of us get annoyed by having a girl hold us unless we are married to someone, dating someone else or hiding from someone. So good luck and happy hunting

he's possibly no longer mushy with actual reflects or merely would not like preserving hands. He may be petrified of sweaty hands or something. If he nevertheless cuddles or enables you to lean against his shoulder, then what's the great deal? BTW - in case you're youthful adequate that that's the only affection you have experienced, than he possibly isn't mushy with actual touching in any respect yet. permit him pass till he's mushy. think of if it have been reversed. in case you weren't mushy preserving hands and persons stored telling you to basically carry his, how could it make you sense? possibly uncomfortable. And if he stored grabbing yours besides? permit him be himself. This should not be a great judgement call for you.

While no one is around he might not be so shy. But don't push or rush things, bad habit to start so young. Play around and put your arm around him for a few seconds, quick hugs that's are embracing are an easy way to shrug off the shyness. Ask him to be open and honest with you. Just remember shyness is cute, but it wears off once one is comfortable. If he stays shy and doesn't seem to be comfortable, ask him if he would like to be friends. Keep it that way until he ask you back out. Life is short enjoy it honestly while you can, but always keep it honest or you'll end up like all the other posers!~

Grab the guy's hand and see his reaction. If he smiles, he's happy if he doesn't then he is most likely just surprised. If you don't want to totally freak him out, then just try sneaking your hand around his, giving him small hints that you want to hold his hand. He should be able to message either way.

Some guys don't like to hold hands, etc. Don't take it personally. Try grabbing his hand and see how he reacts. Good luck.

If your boyfriend is shy, don't force the issue. Five days isn't really long enough to get to know someone. Give it time.

It may be that he's afraid to show intimacy in public...this is probably quite common amongst men.He probably feels self-conscious about doing it.Ask him about it,and then maybe try holding hands somewhere where he feels less self-conscious about it.

JUST TAKE HIS HAND IN YOURS AND WALK WITH HIM FOR A WHILE THEN HE WILL HOLD YOUR HAND NEXT TIME YOU ARE WALKING WITH HIM. SOME BOYS ARE VERY SHY EVEN MORE THAN GIRLS.
