My friends son is 15, and in with a bad crowd from school. Friday night they had a school dance. Afterward, he and a friend stayed out all night, supposedly at his friends(male) house. When he went home the next day, under his eyes were all dark and puffy, and his eyes were bloodshot as well. What drugs would cause this to happen? I ruled out drinking, because of the puffyness. My friend is desperate. His son had been fine until school started up again.

Your friend needs to start restricting his son. It is unacceptable behavior to be out all night at 15 years old. Your friend is still responsible for his child and needs to get a handle on him. Also, a blood test should determine what type of drugs he's been using (if any).
Most important, your friend should be calling the school and letting someone know what's going on so he can be monitored a little better. Maybe he can start occupying his son with some after-school activities or 'plans' that will stop him from 'idle' time with these bad influences.

Smoking pot with do that, but only if he is high at the time. Lack of sleep will also do the same thing. Did anyone think that maybe he stayed up all night? Hmmm?

Is it possible he was just up all night?
If not, tell your friend to drug test the kid and get him into rehab if he comes out hot.
