im gonna be in the area this weekend and was looking for suggestions from locals or those familiar with the area

West Virginia is oh so beautiful but more in the southern part of the state. If you can hit New River Gorge or parks in that area you will see some of the most beautiful places in America and I have seen most of it.

ah, charleston. i was originally born there, but moved away while still a wee lad.
there's a nice coffeeshop around downtown. i can't remember the name of it off the top of my head, but head downtown and look for an old brick street. take a stroll and you should find something neat in the area. it's all pretty small, so you shouldn't get lost.
