When you first begin your menstruation, sometimes it takes a while until your cycles or "periods" get regular. There are MANY people who, after many years, still do not get their "periods" on time. This may be due to to your eating habits, weight, exercise, etc. For example, if you have an eating disorder, such as anorexia or bulemia, this may cause your periods to stop. Also, if you exercise too much, because of an eating disorder (sometimes called exercise anorexia), this may also cause your periods to stop. If you are severely underweight or overweight, this, too will have an effect on your cycle. Since this is your third cycle, just relax, your body is just changing. Most likely, after time, your body will adjust and you may be able to tell, by the day, when your next cycle will come... Remember, too, that some people's cycles are irregular... There have been some instances where some cycles actually skip months... So, before you panic, or if you feel really worried, just go to your doctor...

Honey, don't stress, and don't worry. I don't know how old you are, but I'm 14, and I've had mine for two years already and it's still extrememly irregular and will be for a long time. Don't worry. This is perfectly normal. You're body is just changing and going through a lot of hormonal changes. If this is only your third time, dont' worry. Sometimes your period may even skip months at a time. You're fine, make sure you know that. Don't stress. Feel free to email me if you feel you need more advice, but I would suggest talking to your mom or other female adult you can trust. Hun, you're just fine, it's normal. Don't worry! ;)

Since you've only had your period two times before, it's perfectly normal for you to be a bit late, or irregular. It'll take a few months, or even a few years for you body to regulate itself. Don't worry about it, but if you have severe cramping or some spotting, I would go see your doc, just to make sure everything's a-ok. But don't stress about it. It'll come eventually, and some day you'll be as regular as clockwork.

A lot of times when you first get your period it will not be regular. Give it some time. If it doesn't regulate after a year or so, then you may want to think about birth control (to regulate your cycle).

It could mean that you're irregular. When I first started my period, I was NEVER regular. I'd skip months, have more than one a month...sometimes it takes a little while for your body to adjust. Soon enough you should be regular. Give it a little more time. In the meantime, try to talk to your mom or another female family member you trust. They will be able to explain why this happens...it could be hereditary.

Relax. Your periods just not regular yet. I got my first one 5 years ago, and sometimes there still up to six months apart.

If you just recently started, it will take a while for your cycle to get regular. Usually your cycle becomes regular after 2 years.
