It would depend on your perspective. If we are products of random chance, then there is no reason. Reason would require a higher power that had designs that could be followed. If you are a Christian, then it would be because God created it for his own glory.

By way of the anthropic principle, you have to conclude that the reason the universe exits and exist the way it does is because if it did not exist, or existed any other way, we would not be here to wonder why the universe exists.

Humans do not know the answer to that question.

Also, we don't even know how the universe was formed. Ofcourse the Big Bang Theory exists, but we dont know for sure if that is the way.

And another interesting question is :what was there before a universe existed?"!!!!

So people can ask that very question. An in doing so, perhaps look to God. Romans 1:20 talks about the invisible qualities of God so that men are without excuse. Acts 17:26-27 says that God places you in a certain time and place so that you may reach out to Him.

We aren't concerned with the WHY, we're concerned with the HOW and HOW to preserve it. Because we in fact EXIST, we are Here, we know that, now we are trying to understand HOW we got here.
