I am trying to decide--it has to be somewhat 'experimental': here's my choices---\/ (this is for the NFAA arts Awards, and i need 5 pictures total)

1. I have taken some great pictures of horse's eyes, is this 'deep' enough, or do i need something better? Should i do like, one picture of a horse's eye, one of a humans, one of...??

2. I thought about contrasting the ways of nature with the ways of man--I don't know though: would they let me enter two contrasting photos as one entry? maybe if they were on the same print? My ideas here are photos like: mother and baby duck, mother and baby human-many tall plants, many tall lightposts-angry horse, angry man. Stuff like this

3. Well, I've always wondered why photos were rectangular, so this idea is that i should submit cirular photos that may-or may not- include the above ideas.

Please help me, i need help paying for college. My web isn't near done but u can get an idea of me here: http://ajsellarole.pink-pistol.net/ ( go flash

1 - mmm, maybe not... 2 - run with your contrasty ideas on that, 3 - nope, keep it simple. The last answerer said "lots of range" and that's good advice, but you still need to keep it all within your style - you don't want your portfolio looking like it was taken by 6 different photographers.

Good luck

Don't worry so much much!!!! You take great pictures! You have an eye for the right picture and a sense for the right moment. They will see that!!!
Don't try to imitate what you've seen elsewhere (that's what the horse's eye - idea appears to me like) but BE YOURSELF! Show what YOU think is great.
I personally like the 2nd and the 3rd idea. not together though. Just the circular photos HAVE TO with the image they are showing. That's where it will be difficult. I love square formats or panoramic.

I like the idea of No2. You can construct a shot to have both nature and man by way of Photoshop!
