I think hes just looking out for the best of American people. Obviously.

Hey butterPankackes; Ive been here for months and still no real reason why build a wall throughout Mexico and not Canada. The only reason why is because of Racist people like are supporting it because these UNdocumented Immigrants are taking welfare away from people that complain so much about it.

Please next time give a real response or go back and change it before it gets deleted.

Who is going to build the wall when it will go to the lowest bidder? And who will the lowest bidder use for labor to keep the costs down?

No one said it would start a month ago. The 700 mile wall one only TODAY was formally sent to Bush. The funding bill giving 1.2 billion for wall/barriers AND OTHER THINGS was signed a while back. If/when Bush signs the one sent today, they will have to get certain pieces of the wall in place in 18 months and have 'operational control of the border' by then. HA HA. Stay tuned for an extension....

Keep up with the times man! The bill that passed has already been signed into law.
The "Wall" is going to be a triple layer fence with high tech monitors, motion sensors and seismic activity detection units to prevent tunneling, and infrared tied to response stations scattered along the border. I am waiting patiently to see how effective it will be. Should be interesting to watch.

Why just only build 700 miles of fence, the borders between United States and Mexico total length is 1,951 miles.

it's going take years to build that wall.

First of all they haven't figured out how to fund the wall, which means it will never be built. Second of all people around here seem sooooooo bitter now that they realize their president really doesn't stan behind any of his stupid ideas...how many days until he's out of office?? Too many for me.

Bush doens't want the wall to be build. He wants to please the big businesses that want cheap labor. Bush has failed in securing the borders and I think the fence won't be built until 2007 or more later on.
