i always work on 20 minutes per pound, plus 20minutes extra. Start with your oven on a medium temp(180C) for the first part of the cooking, then uncover the turkey for the last half an hour and turn the oven up higher(230C) fto get a nice crispy skin

15 minutes a pound @ 350 or internal temp in breats hit 175-180, unstuffed

I cook mine for 20 mins. per lb. unstuffed, stuffed I cook it for 25 mins. per lb.
So a 12 lb. unstuffed would be 4 hrs.
A stuffed 12 lb. bird would be 5 hrs.

about 20 mins. per pound if you dont stuff it. If you cook it in an aluminium pan it may take longer. One way to tell for sure is if the leg wiggles easily i'ts done.
