Jesus was perfect. However, he identified with humans by being born of a human. The only difference is that he was born of a VIRGIN. I don't know about you, but i find this amazing. Jesus radically changed the order of the world just by doing that... among other things...(key word:resurrection).

Now if you really want to piece things together for the story behind it all, I can explain what I know from what i've been reading from the Bible and what my pastor has been teaching(it's all in Romans).

God is just, but he's merciful as well. So as he is just, he has to punish for the wickedness of our sins. But He shows MERCY because he saved up all of the punishment for our sins for generations upon generations. And Jesus took it all. Jesus was given all of the crap that we deserved ourselves when he died on the cross. He was tortured, mocked, and humiliated. It's probably the most horrible thing anyone has ever endured on Earth. I didn't understand why they said "Christ paid for our sins" for the longest time, but this is why.
Now you might have to say what this really has to do with the question you had and how Jesus was born of a human. He was given a human birth because man is responsible for the sin of our fathers(and mothers, and grandparents, on and on). He was given that burden so he was the one that finally paid for it ALL.
Hopefully I explained it clearly. I think it's pretty revolutionary.

Because Jesus is the eternal Word who wrapped Himself up in flesh so that He could be the perfect sacrifice for us.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God.....14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

"Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he (Jesus) himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham. Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2:14-18

I am not so certain that Adam was not born. According to the ancient Sumerian epics, Adam was born of a goddess by the name of Mami. For further insight into this, read some of the books of Zecharia Sitchin.

Eve was created from Adam - Eve sinned and made Adam sin. Therefore, Jesus was born from a sinless woman - unlike Eve.
