There are five sources to search for college scholarships. All of them are free to sign up and use.

First, if you are in high school, the high school guidance office has a list of local scholarships available to its students.

Second, the state has grants and scholarships for particular qualities in students. It can be located by searching the state government website. However, 35 states do have a website devoted to applying for both college admissions and state college assistance.

Third, the college's financial aid office and website has a list of private scholarships offered from companies and organizations.

Fourth, search Google.com and Yahoo.com for your college major, ethnicity, and religion along with the word scholarship. There are scholarships tied to these qualities.

Finally, there are free membership scholarship search webistes. Most are updated on a regular basis.

Good luck!
