Islam: means to submit to Allah
Muslim: is the person who submits to Allah.
No Islam is not derived from the word Peace. There are many peaceful Muslims, but the word Islam is NOT derived from the Peace.

Muslims practice Islam; like Chritians practice Christianiity
Islam is the total submission to God.
These are Our Five Pillars of Belief
1.) There is No God but God, Muhammad is the last messenger
2.) Angels
3.) Belief in Past revelations by past prophets
4.) The Afterlife
5.) Punishment for bad deeds, rewards for good deeds
All deeds will be answered for

Muslim comes from the word Islam, which comes from the word Salam which means peace!!
