Yes, we do it all of the time. The individually packaged singles are not a problem to use when still frozen; but, if they're not individually packaged, it can be a real challenge to separate the slices. If you bought this kind and it's not a huge deal, perhaps you can separate each slice w/ a piece of wax paper before freezing. Otherwise, you might later need to defrost the entire package in order to use a slice... and then I would not recommend refreezing.

I've kept individually wrapped Kraft cheese slices for several months in the meat tray of my refrigerator with no problems. As long as they stay wrapped and cold, they will keep. Just don't open the outside wrapper until you start using the single slices.

Check the "use by" date; you may not even need to freeze it. Keep the cheese tightly wrapped, with minimal exposure to air, in a cold place in the refrigerator

It can be frozen, but will change in texture and appearance; it will become crumbly and mealy.

I do! That's how I make it last longer. Cheese can't go bad if its wrapped up and frozen. Freeze it and use it when your ready. Wrap it individually so that you can take out only what you need and the rest of the cheese won't go bad by being defrosted and frozen again.

I'm not sure about the individually wrapped slices but I buy the 5 lb. bags of shredded and the 5 lb. blocks of sliced cheese and freeze them. It thaws out fine for me and I freeze it for more than 2 weeks.

I think it will thaw out crumbly. Real cheese is OK to freeze, though.

Why don't you experiment with coupla slices overnight? If it works, you can freeze the whole pack

No, don't freeze the singles. But they do last FoReVeR!! The blocks of cheddar, swiss, mozz, etc youCAN freeze. Also, don't freeze cream cheese. If you think of it this way- the softer the cheese can't freeze (oo i rhymed)

Of course. But it also stays good for a long time. Check the expiration dates first. Buy the furthest date possible.
