Don't buy ANY insurance until you CALL A FEW VETS and see what THEY TAKE.

Then compare what YOU are paying for the coverage with what the routine costs and coverage will be. For example, I used to pay $1000k a year for dental but after doing the numbers I realized I had exactly $1000 coverage! That makes no sense!

It does seem to me that bulldogs are prone to hereditary conditions that may not be covered, *but* that doesn't mean that there won't be accidents and illnesses that have nothing to do with those hereditary conditions. We have an Aussie, so I'm not much help there, but we definitely *can* recommend the company we are with, Pets Best. We've loved them! Just be sure to ask what's excluded when you're purchasing your policy. I believe that Pets Best does offer some amount toward hereditary conditions, which is more than most of the others do, I think.

I no vets can offer pet insurance and the aspca offers very nice insurance plans that cover everything from visits to shot's and spaying and neutering. Most vet's also have care credit, which is a credit card made for pets and some use for people's doctors visits.
