The picture is rather old and the crease is new. This picture cannot be replaced

Scan it and digitally remove the crease. Keep the picture in a dark dry place for the future.

you can put it in a book... to take out the crease..put acid free paper between the photo and pages of book though... you can also have the photo copied... at a photo lab... Its worth it .. I have 50 old photos that i am caring for... same problem... my photos are 1880's

You can clone out the crease in photoshop and then reprint it.
I don't think there is any other way.

make a very high quality color copy of the image.
even use photo paper to make it look more real..
maybe go to kinko's and get it profesionally done...
.. a copy will look just as good as the old.
