When I was little my neighbor who was around 20 years old died from playing soccer outside and going into his house to take a shower. He had a stroke of some sort. So when I go for a walk I usually wait atleast 30mins to take a shower and for some reason my husband things im some mental person. He doesnt believe me that its not good to shower before your body even cools down. Am I just paranoid?

Walking does not get your insides as hot as the young man who died must have been. Plus if you start off with a shower that is warmer than body temperature, there should be no "shock" value at all. Maybe that neighbour went into the house and straight into a cold shower, and the shock of that killed him? (Seems pretty bizarre.)

In summary, if all you do is walk, there is no reason that you can not shower right away. Just keep the water warmer than you are yourself.

It is bad to take a cold shower as it could cause shock,it is best to cool down after strenuous excersise and then have a shower, having said that it is supposed to be good to take a cold plunge after a sauna but maybe the two are totaly different.

Two things.
Your body could go into shock from cold water, but not warm.
If you use warm water, you will relax your muscles, and partially undo the pump, all that work you bust put in.
You don't want that! Take a short shower, or wait if you can.

It does not hurt to shower before you cool down, but you may keep sweating after your shower and feel like you need another one
