I'm going to be there November 3-5, and I need some ideas for things to do there. Family things that my whole family will enjoy doing.

I'm a native of Hot Lanta and I love my city! If you are staying in the city then you want to stick close by: World of Coke, Underground Atlanta, Olympic Fountains (although it will be chilly), Georgia Aquarium (although quite crowded), and the Capitol Building. There is also a GREAT children's museum near Centennial Olympic Park. I think the name is "Imagine It." If you are in that area, go to the top of the Peachtree Plaza (hotel) on the glass elevator. You will have a panoramic view of the city from the top if the sky is clear. If your children are young, go to the Center for Puppetry Arts. Their shows are cute and they have a kids workshop where you can make a puppet after the show. Fernbank also has a great museum and an IMAX theater. It is usually a big hit with the kids also. You need to visit the Varsity and have a frosted orange while you are here! If you are staying outside of the city or you have a car, I would recommend Stone Mountain. You can climb the mountain with kids (they will have a blast!); take a train ride, boat ride, or skylift ride; play in the Barn, Tree House or on the Ropes Course; catch a 4-D movie and other great shows in Crossroads; and watch the laser show in the evening (IT IS VERY COOL). You need a full day at Stone Mountain as there is so much to see and do. We visit about 10-12 times a year and my kids still love it! Stone Mountain also has many special events in the fall so check their website: www.stonemountainpark.com
Lastly, also Six Flags is a lot of fun, I'm pretty sure they close after Halloween. It's just an amusement park (although a nice one) and there is so much more to see in Atlanta. If you kids love animals, visit the Zoo or Yellow River Game Ranch in Snellville, Georgia. I hope you have a great trip!

Go to the Coca-Cola factory!!! It's great for the whole family!! It shows you the history (can be educational...!!) and at the end you can try soda that is from all over the world (they have some of the most bizzarre stuff!) Six Flags is also really cool if you're into amusement parks!

The Georgia Aquarium (get your tickets in advance!)
If it's a gorgeous fall day - - head to Stone Mountain (plenty to keep you busy there)
If it's raining, and you don't want to do the aquarium, check out the very large Lenox Square Mall - - plenty of shops for all.
You can tour the CNN center, or take a trip to Cartersville to see the new Booth Western Art Museum (world class, no kidding!)
Good Luck!
