For clarification: The Church is the Bride of Christ. Mary is our husbands Mother hence--she is our Mother in law. (I myself love her very much)

Now how on God's green earth did you make that jump from virgin Mary to a mother-in-law. I really don't see the correlation. Whose mother-in-law was Mary? I mean there was a virgin birth concerning our Savior Jesus Christ. But Mary is no Saint to be worshiped. Neither is a mother-in-law. hope this answers your question.

What does the Virgin Mary have to do with this...since Jesus wasn't married.???
Then Again, I will never marry unless my mother in Law is gone on a permanent holiday.

I do not feel any animosity toward the mother of Jesus. What could she have done differently? She was chosen and proved to be a good mother so I would assume no one should have ill feelings towards her. I do not have ill feelings towards my inlaws either.

I don't think so. I think the animosity towards mothers-in-law comes from the stereotype that mothers-in-law don't like their kids-in-law and/or like to tell them what to do and such.

No. Mothers-in-law earn their animosity.
