I know lemon juice with subtlely highlight blonde hair. Lemon juice will also strip hair of chemicals. Will Lime juice do the same for me? No answers about turning my hair green, lime juice has no color, I cook with it often. I just want to know if it has similar properties as lemon juice. I could always try it, since I have a bottle of lime juice that is way to big for my cooking. Just curious if any of you have tried it.

Why would you? Leave it for your cooking.
Lemon juice as well. They both have acid that will lighten your hair in the summer specially but to what you will never know until the end. I have seen some disasters. Use colouring products made specially for the results you want to have, there is so many mild and great ones now days.

Be careful, lemon juice will weaken organic fibers including cotton, silk, human hair, etc. For example put lemon juice on cotton in the same spot and wash the item, do it a few times and you will have a hole in that spot.

I've never thought to try it personally.

My friend however used both lemon and lime to lighten up her highlights. So I assume it works, but I'm not 100% positive.
