First of all, if your sister is hurting and hitting your mom then your mom needs to have her arrested. Once in Juvenile Detention it might change her mind about that sort of behavior. Second, I've never had that sort of problem with any of my kids, I'm so thankful. But someone in my family went to a sort of boot camp in Mexico. It cost about $30,000 for 2 years and it did nothing for my nephew, it actually made him more bitter and angry. He learned to control himself when he was there but when he turned 18 he left and was back at his old destructive behavior. What a waste of money it was and he is still a mess to this day.

Boot camp prices vary in cost. I looked into it for my 17 year old last year, and actually just leaving the brochures laying around the house worked. I do agree with the previous post about making sure it's a behavioral problem, and not a mental health issue. My son was in therapy at the time, and just continued to cause problems for no apparent reason - he wasn't depressed, he wasn't diagnosed with any psychological diability, and nothing significant had happened during his lifetime that would have caused this. We determined it was a bad choice of friends. Kids in their teens feel the need to "fit in" and be "cool". You can get a lot of information from the web by searching "boot camps in" whatever state you're in, but be careful. Not all are run by people I'd want around my kid, and not all kids who have behavior problems need boot camp - sometimes they just need rules and parenting.

I went on my own to Great Lakes boot camp.I was 18 and traveled 34,000 miles every deployment into the Persian Gulf. One of my life's fond memories, besides I served my country and proud that I did.Became a man, independent and learned to respect others. The cost was nothing and the vacation was great too places like Spain, france,India,Iran,Pakistan ,Cuba,Africa ,Portugal,Greece, the Seychelles Islands and Saudi Araba

Be careful. Is it a behaviour problem or a mental problem? Mental problems cannot be fixed by boot camp but boot camp can cause mental problems! There was also a case where a child DIED in boot camp. The guards were restraining him and suffocated him to death. I would start my own "boot camp" program at home first. Lay down the law and stick to it!!
