Is this something that only happens in the R+S section? Is it because people who have been here a long time are somewhat programmed to look for a question that says something like "Why are atheists so stupid?" instead of someone who asks "I would like to know something about why atheists believe what they do?"

Sorry, I'm just very interested in Psychology and how it relates to this section

i seen what you were doing ... very clever
and yes it is strange
but we are defensive by nature and will click on something that is against us rather than something positive about us
maybe we are used to that ?

For the same reason Madonna hanging herself on a cross gets a better response than Madonna playing a Missionary in Shanghai Surprise.

The negative a lot of the time borders on controversial and anything anyone has a hope of being able to argue against they will be drawn to before something that is nice, kind and 'pretty'. Human Nature.

Law of attraction, like attracts like... not like with magnets. Negativity will always attract negativity and positivity will always attract much the same. If you want this section to become more positive then start the first link and write something positive.

Actualy I just usually skim over those negative posts unless I feel called to post a note such as God bless or I care. I prefer the happy ones. I will gladly answer those who seem desperate, sad, or down.

Well, those are the first links I hit (other than the ones asked by friends, lol). Why? I guess I feel the need to defend is greater than the need to explain? I don't know. I guess it incites my anger. I should probably work on that, huh? =)

It's more fun to be against something than for something. It's sad how intolerable people can be when someone expresses a view that isn't congruent with their own.
