It has just gotten somewhat cold here for the first time. I have been inside for most of the day but there is a lot of pressure in my ears. Could this be from the cold weather?

Absolutely. Cold air is much less dense than warm air, thereby playing heck with your inner ear. When you are inside, the air is warmer and moister and therefor heavier...so when you go outside, the inner ear has to readjust.
